The Weeknd taps Kenny G for live performance of “In Your Eyes”

He also played “Blinding Lights” for the ‘TIME100’ television special.

The Weeknd recently enlisted famed saxophonist Kenny G for a groovy live rendition of “In Your Eyes” during the first-ever TIME100 primetime television special.

The television event, which also featured Halsey and Jennifer Hudson, marked the unveiling of TIME magazine’s 2020 list of the world’s most influential people. Naturally, The Weeknd made the list—with a testimonial penned by none other than Elton John, whom he interpolated on his latest chart-topping album After Hours.

Surrounded by smoke and bright pink lights, The Weeknd sang “In Your Eyes,” with Kenny jumping near the end of the track for a saxophone solo. He also performed the other hit song from After Hours, “Blinding Lights.”

Back in May, The Weeknd released a remix of “In Your Eyes” featuring Doja Cat. The singer also recently unveiled “Smile,” a collab with the late Juice WRLD.
