The Weeknd releases “Smile,” a collab with the late Juice WRLD

“Wish we could celebrate together,” said The Weeknd.

The Weeknd has unveiled “Smile,” a collaboration with the late Juice WRLD.

On the melancholic song, Juice drops bars about doing whatever it takes to make someone he loves “smile,” even if he’s not in their life. “I’d do anything in my power to see you just smile / I want you to prosper and come proper / Even if that means I ain’t by your side,” he spits.

The Weeknd jumps in during the second half of the track, delivering a heartbreaking verse with his smooth vocals. “I spent every day right beside you, ’side you / A hundred pics of me on your phone / Now you’re someone that I used to know,” he croons.

Following the release of “Smile,” The Weekend posted a tweet in tribute to the late rapper. “Wish we could celebrate together,” he wrote.
