SZA has unveiled a dreamy self-directed video for “Good Days.”
The visual opens on SZA passed out in her room with footage of mushrooms and closeups of weed interspersed in between. She later wakes up to find herself in a magical garden and an old library where she begins to pole-dance gracefully to the uplifting track.
At the end of the clip, SZA is transported yet again to another location: this time, she dances in the middle of a gas station to a snippet of an upcoming song titled “Shirt.” According to Billboard, SZA had briefly previewed the unreleased track on her TikTok account earlier this year.
“Good Days” was released last Christmas, marking her second solo effort since the Ty Dolla $ign-assisted single “Hit Different.” Speaking to Cosmopolitan in January, SZA confirmed that she’s currently working on the follow-up to her 2017 debut CTRL.
“This album is going to be the shit that made me feel something,” she said. “That’s what’s going to go on the album. I’m making all different types of shit every day from different places in my spirit.”
