Summer Walker drops new single, “Playing Games”

    No prizes for catching the Destiny’s Child reference.

    Summer Walker has had a whirlwind year: Her four-song EP, Clear, arrived in January and her breakout single, “Girls Need Love,” climbed the charts with the help of none other than Drake. Now, the Atlanta artist has dropped a new single, “Playing Games.”

    Walker confronts her lover about his insincerity on the sultry London on da Track production, taking a leaf from Destiny’s Child’s book as she goes: “So won’t you say my name, say my name / If you claim you want me, it ain’t no thing / You acting kinda shady / You ain’t been calling me baby / Boy, you can go and stop playing games.”

    The single is the first taste of Walker’s forthcoming debut album, Over it. No release date is available yet. While we wait for more info, listen to “Playing Games” below:
