Solange releases spellbinding visual for “Almeda”

A snippet of her short film, ‘When I Get Home.’

Solange has dropped a video for “Almeda,” off her latest album, When I Get Home. The visual is an excerpt from the 33-minute short film she dropped the day after her album’s release.

The clip begins with the “Nothing Without Intention” interlude that precedes “Almeda” on the album. Over five minutes, it strings together visual tableaus featuring Solange and performers walking, dancing and posing in intriguing locations, from an office buildings to a carpark and a waterfall installation. Despite the muted color palette, the video is anything but boring.
