Meet Tinashe, bratty socialite in her “Rascal (Superstar)” video

Her first original solo single since ‘Songs for You.’

Tinashe is back with a quarantine-inspired video for her new single, “Rascal (Superstar).”

In the pastel-hued video, the singer portrays a “socialite trapped in her own home with fans streaming to watch her 24 hours a day,” as described in a press release. The clip features a metallic pink drone that follows Tinashe around as she dances in her underwear, bakes a cake and models flowy gowns from her living room.

“I’m a superstar, bitch / I just pour the cup, bitch / Fly out in the morning / I’mma be exhausted,” Tinashe flexes on the song, produced by Sage the Gemini. “Money, cash, clothes, fast cars / Better ask ’em, I’m a little rascal.”

“Rascal (Superstar)” is Tinashe’s first original single since the release of her Songs for You LP earlier this year. The 15-track album features appearances from G-Eazy, 6LACK, Ms Banks and more. Last week, she teamed up with R&B duo THEY. on “Play Fight.”
