Mariah the Scientist drops new song “RIP”

The first new music from the R&B singer since ‘Master.’

Up-and-coming R&B singer Mariah the Scientist has released “RIP,” her first single of the year.

“I dream to be a fool / That way you wouldn’t know that I knew what you do / ’Cause I know that you’re good at seeing through me / You always make me feel like I’m invisible,” the Atlanta native sings with unabashed swagger on the chorus.

“RIP,” according to a press release, is about “finding a way to end the pain of never feeling enough for someone else.” The song follows Mariah the Scientist’s 2019 debut album, Master. The LP marked her first project released via RCA Records. Its single “Beetlejuice” has amassed over a million streams to date on Spotify alone.
