Mariah Carey wants to be “With You”

Surprisingly, produced by DJ Mustard.

After telling us to “GTFO” last month, Mariah Carey has now returned with a more affectionate track, “With You.”

The DJ Mustard-produced ballad is a throwback to Carey’s R&B heydays (remember 2005’s “We Belong Together”?), with some modern touches. “Playing Confessions, and our bodies blendin’ / Ooh, I’m in love, it’s true / Yeah, damn I fucks with you,” she croons over a gorgeous piano and finger-snapping beat. To top it all off, the singer even belts out her trademark whistle note at the end.

“With You,” alongside “GTFO,” is set to appear on Carey’s follow-up to 2014’s Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse. The album is due sometime later this year under her newly minted music label Butterfly MC Records.
