Mariah Carey throws a dance party on the subway in her video for “A No No.”
In the vibrant clip, the R&B diva exudes glamor in a blue sequin dress and pink fur coat as she performs the song for partygoers. The songbird’s children, Monroe and Moroccan, affectionately known as “dem babies,” also make appearances in the video, sporting Carey’s classic curly ’90s hairdo.
While the video isn’t for the song’s long-awaited remix, the track did receive an upgrade in the form of the singer’s iconic whistle notes. Moreover, frequent Carey collaborator, Jermaine Dupri, has confirmed that the rework is on the way.
“It’s a process when putting out music, and this is a new single, so the single is just now starting,” Dupri said on Instagram in now-deleted stories. “You don’t put the remix out at the top of the single starting. You get the people familiar with the record, people know the lyrics [and then] you get the remix.”
While we hold on tight for the remix—which Lil’ Kim, Missy Elliot and Cardi B are rumored to feature on—watch the video for “A No No” below:
