Lloyd, Teddy Riley team up for “Slow Wine Bass Line”

A throwback R&B slow jam.

R&B singer Lloyd has teamed up with hitmaker Teddy Riley for “Slow Wine Bass Line.”

The seductive slow jam features Lloyd’s smooth vocals over a sample of Keith Sweat’s 1987 song, “Right and a Wrong Way,” which was co-written by Riley. “I’ve been waiting all night / And I think it’s the right song / I pull on your waistline / I don’t wanna waste time / I wanna slow wine, do it to the bass line,” Lloyd sings, while Riley provides ad libs.

The duo also released an extended edition of “Slow Wine Bass Line,” which features a minute-long outro from Riley: “Lights off, all night, all night long / Ooh waistline, slow wine / Slow wine, wine / All night, ’cause you let it ride.”

“Slow Wine Bass Line” is Lloyd’s first release since the 2019 remix of “Caramel,” featuring City Girl. The original version of that song appeared on his 2018 album, Tru.
