Lexi covers Quincy Jones’ “Tomorrow (A Better You, Better Me)”

The gospel singer dropped the track just in time for Martin Luther King Jr Day.

Last, Thursday, gospel singer Lexi has released an inspiring cover of “Tomorrow (A Better You, Better Me)” in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr Day.

The YouTube personality stays faithful to the uplifting Quincy Jones-produced classic, which featured a young Tevin Campbell on vocals, only substituting the saxophone solo for a repeat of the chorus.

“We wanted to do something that everybody could relate to: hope for tomorrow,” Lexi told ThisisRnB. “We chose this to inspire people [to know that] if something happens today that you’re not happy with, there’s a promise in tomorrow.”
