Kelly Rowland channels Janet Jackson in “I Get it” MV

From the new Hulu original film, ‘Bad Hair.’

Kelly Rowland has released a video for “I Get it,” her contribution to Bad Hair, the new Hulu original film which she also stars in.

The clip, helmed by Bad Hair director Justin Simien, stars Rowland as her character Sandra, an ’80s pop star in the vein of Janet Jackson and Paula Abdul. In the visual, the singer showcases her dance moves to a throwback New Jack Swing-inspired beat. The video also features a cameo from Usher, who also appears in the film.

“I get it, you don’t want my love / I get it, I’m not the one that you’re thinking of / I’ve been upsetted / And I regret it, ooooh but I get it, you don’t want my love,” Rowland sings on the addictive chorus.

Besides “I Get it,” the soundtrack for Bad Hair also features two other songs from Rowland: “So You Know” and “One Night.” The record also includes two new songs from saxophonist-singer Braxton Cook.
