Kehlani drops “quarantine-style” music video for “Bad News”

The latest homemade visual from ‘It Was Good Until it Wasn’t.’

Kehlani has shared another “quarantine-style” video for “Bad News,” taken from her It Was Good Until it Wasn’t LP.

Self-directed under her filmmaking moniker Hyphy Williams, the black-and-white clip captures the Bay Area singer in a wedding dress as she pleads her partner to give up a lifestyle that threatens to pull them apart. “Don’t wanna get no call with no bad news / I know all the stories from your tattoos / If they with the shit, then you with that too,” she sings.

“Bad News” is the latest visual from It Was Good Until it Wasn’t, following clips for “Open (Passionate),” “F&MU” and “Everybody Business.” The record featured collaborations with Tory Lanez, Jhené Aiko, Masego, Lucky Daye and James Blake.
