Justine Skye has collaborated with Nigerian rapper Rema for “Twisted Fantasy,” the second single off her upcoming Timbaland-produced album Space & Time.
Skye weaves a playful narrative of a thrilling night out with a potential lover, while Rema responds on an Afrobeats-flavored verse—all over producer Timbaland’s sublime beat work. “If you wanna come down, my way / Let me remind you, replay / If you just trust me, you’ll stay / If you nuh trust me, no way,” she sings.
“Twisted Fantasy” follows “Intruded,” the first single from Skye’s fourth LP Space & Time. In a press statement on the record, Skye said: “My story and my sound finally unite. I’ve never been as vulnerable or as candid as I am on this album. I’m really laying it all out, having fun, talking shit, and being me.” She also dubbed the album a “bad bitch manual.”
Justine Skye’s Space & Time is due out June 25. Listen to “Twisted Fantasy” here:
