Justine Skye gets emotional on “No Options”

The first single off her expanded ‘Bare With Me’ project.

Justine Skye has dropped off an emotional new single, “No Options.”

Co-written by Skye and Dru Oliver, who also produced the track alongside Zachary Seman and Roger Kleinman, “No Options” finds the R&B crooner navigating through a toxic relationship. At first Skye struggles to deal with her lover’s problematic past and ego, but later realizes that she’s better off without him.

“’Cause this shit ain’t love,” she admits over the smooth, trap-inspired production. “I’m not what you’re on / I know I’m not wrong / You hate when I’m gone.”

In contrast, the song’s accompanying music video stitches together wholesome, pre-pandemic footage of Skye on tour, at photoshoots and at recording sessions. The visual also includes clips of the singer having fun at Disneyland and learning how to sandboard.

“No Options” is the first preview of Skye’s upcoming project, Bare With Me, an expanded version of her 2019 EP of the same name. The release will include three new tracks, including a live version of last year’s “Maybe,” according to Rap-Up.
