Joyce Wrice enlists Freddie Gibbs for “On One”

The collab will appear on Wrice’s debut album, ‘Overgrown.’

Joyce Wrice has teamed up with Freddie Gibbs for a new collaboration, “On One.”

On the track, Wrice sings about her complicated love life over a bouncy D’Mile-produced beat. “I’m usually quick to cut it off, but with you I can’t choose / If I switch it up fast on you, baby, you lose / But I rеally wanted that, what’s a girl to do, yeah / Sometimes I want to cut it off, but with you I can choose / You got me on one,” she croons.

“Been a fan of Gibbs for years so to have him on my song is such a treat,” Wrice wrote on Instagram. “On One” is set to appear on her forthcoming debut album, Overgrown, due out March 19.

According to Respect Magazine, the album is executive produced by D’Mile and will feature Lucky Daye, Masego, Kaytranada, Westside Gunn and Devin Morrison. Her last single, “So So Sick,” is also expected to appear on the record.
