Jorja Smith gets emotional in “Goodbyes” video

Directed by longtime collaborator Rashid Babiker.

Jorja Smith has dropped off a simple yet gorgeous new visual for “Goodbyes,” a cut from her 2018 Lost & Found debut.

The clip, shot at Smith’s own home, was directed by frequent collaborator Rashid Babiker, who also worked on the singer’s videos for “On Your Own” and “Teenage Fantasy.” In a press statement, Babiker explained that they decided to keep the music video as plain and simple as they could. With Smith performing solo in a room filled with soft, colorful lights, the visual allows “the emotion in the [song’s] lyrics to take center stage,” he added.
