Jorja Smith drops new track, “February 3”

A great date for downtempo R&B jams.

Rising R&B songstress Jorja Smith has released another taste of what to expect from her upcoming debut album, Lost and Found.

Named after the date the song was recorded, “February 3” is a laid-back, heartfelt track about a love that’s gone south. Against the backdrop of a mellow beat, Smith’s vocals rise into smooth falsettos and soulful coos. “It won’t work if it don’t make sense at all / I’m so lost that I can’t see through the fold,” she sings before pleading her boo on the chorus. “So why don’t you lose yourself for me?”

We reckon you’ll lose yourself amongst the silky vocals and melody of “February 3” no matter what date it is. It’s another promising sign of what’s set to be one of the year’s biggest R&B debuts—one that’s been a few years in the works.
