Jordin Sparks, Elijah Blake want it to be ‘1990 Forever’

The duo explore the highs and lows of love on the EP.

Jordin Sparks and Elijah Blake throwback to an old-school vibe on their new joint release, 1990 Forever.

The duo serve soulful, buttery harmonies on the four-track EP, which explores different facets of love. The project features the guitar-led, mid-tempo jam “90s R&B,” the lovelorn “Ego,” the mellow “Vibez” and closes with “Liar Liar,” a silky break-up ballad.

1990 Forever is Sparks’ first release since her 2015 record, Right Here, Right Now. Blake, on the other hand, dropped his sixth studio album, Bijoux 23, last December.
