Joji takes to the skies in video for “Upgrade”

A cut from the singer’s sophomore album, ‘Nectar.’

Joji has released a gravity-defying video for “Upgrade,” a cut from his sophomore album, Nectar.

In the nostalgic clip, which features a grainy VHS-style filter, the singer falls asleep while on an international flight. He then enters a magical dreamworld where he and all the flight attendants have the ability to fly.

“Guess I’m flyin’ international / We can meet, but no more lies at the Oriental / Now I’m so professional / I just need you one more time to get it right, you know?” he sings.

“Upgrade” is the latest track from Nectar to receive the video treatment, following “Daylight” and “Gimme Love.” The record also features the song “Sanctuary,” which was released in June 2019.
