Jhené Aiko has dropped the video for “Born Tired,” the latest single off her third album Chilombo to receive a visual treatment.
The dreamy clip depicts intimate snippets of Aiko’s daily life, in which she vibes with friends and family, irons out recordings in the studio, and meditates. “Rest your weary heart / Dry your teary eyes / I know you are scarred / And torn apart inside / Darlin’, so am I,” she sings on the comforting track.
“The making of #Chilombo was full of tears, laughter, love, family and healing,” commented Aiko in a tweet announcing the visual. “this year has been a whirlwind… tired but im fired up.”

2020 has been a busy year for Aiko. In October, she worked on high-profile collaborations with Saweetie on “Back to the Streets” as well as Ty Dolla $ign’s “By Yourself” alongside Mustard. Prior to that, she performed a heavenly eight-song medley for NPR’s Tiny Desk concert series and dropped videos for her singles “One Way St,” “Speak,” and “BS.” She also followed up Chilombo’s March release with a deluxe re-issue in July.
