Jhené Aiko has shared a ’70s-inspired visual for her song, “Tryna Smoke.”
Fittingly released on 4/20, the Eyes-directed clip also features an appearance by Big Sean. The clip opens with a skit by Micahfonecheck before launching into Aiko’s hazy smoke session with Sean and her friends. On the slow-burning track, the “Sativa” singer croons about smoking up to let go of her worries.
“If I could fly / I would probably never come down / With all of the bullshit, all of the confusion on the ground / I wish that I was high / ’Cause I can’t live my life when it’s low,” she sings.
“Tryna Smoke” arrived last year on Aiko’s third studio album, Chilombo, and received an official remix featuring Chris Brown and Snoop Dogg on the album’s deluxe version. Other tracks on the record include “Born Tired” and “Speak.”
