Following 2017’s Glasshouse, Jessie Ware has returned with a new song, “Overtime.”
Produced by James Ford, with the help of electronic duo Bicep, “Overtime” is a shouldering dance pop jam driven by pulsating house beats. It’s definitely a huge departure from Ware’s previous powerhouse ballads and soulful slow-burns. That’s not a bad thing, though: “Overtime” is a showcase of the singer’s remarkable versatility.
“It’s a late-night song to flirt [to],” Wares said of the song in a press statement. “Whilst I carry on working on new music, I hope you really enjoy this one.”
