Jessie Reyez jumps on “Broken” by THEY

One collab of many on THEY’s forthcoming EP.

R&B duo THEY—vocalist Drew Love and producer Dante Jones—have enlisted Jessie Reyez for a new duet, “Broken,” which offers another glimpse of their forthcoming Fireside EP.

Love and Reyez play a couple struggling navigate their romantic and emotional baggage. “I lie and say I didn’t come broken,” Reyez confesses on the chorus. The gentle, guitar-led track is straightforward and all too brief: You’ll be dying to hear more of Love and Reyez together when it’s over.

Due November 9, THEY’s Fireside EP comes just a year after the duo’s debut album, Nü Religion: Hyena. “After we dropped our last album, I took a step back and decided that I wanted my writing process to feel more therapeutic, not just for me but for the listener as well,” Jones explained to the FADER. “Nowadays I really try to look at each song as an opportunity to reach people and connect with them.”

That explains the impressive roster of guests on Fireside, which, besides Reyez, includes Wiz Khalifa, Jeremih and Gallant. Hear “Broken” below:
