Toronto artist Jessie Reyez has refreshed “Imported,” a track from her 2018 album Being Human in Public. She’s just dropped a video for it with a new guest artist, 6LACK.
6LACK, who takes over from original featured artist JRM, adds depth to a song that already wears its heart on its sleeve. In the video, the duo sing and agonize together in a sparse apartment and during a car ride. It serves an honest, if stylized, depiction of the unsustainable connection between two people who fall into bed with each other to soothe their romantic troubles with others.
The 6LACK-assisted single will feature on Reyez’s upcoming album, scheduled to drop later this year. Check out the “Imported” video below.
