Jay Sean, Gucci Mane, Asian Doll want to get raunchy “With You”

It’s Sean’s first release since re-signing with Universal Republic.

Are you ready to get down (down, down, down, down) with Jay Sean once again? The chart-topping Brit recently re-signed with his original US label, Universal Republic, and released the new song, “With You,” featuring Gucci Mane and Asian Doll.

The trap-influenced R&B track, which samples Blaque’s “808,” incorporates heavy bass, melodic acoustic guitar chords and layered vocals. “Even though you know I like it, you ain’t nothin’ new / Even though you know I love it, I’m in love with you / I ain’t tryna say I like it, girl, you know the truth / You know that I fuckin’ love it, fucking ’round with you,” Sean sings.

“The song came about during a writing session in LA when my producer played [the backing track of ‘With You’] and I just had to write the lyrics,” the singer-songwriter told DNA India. “We were dancing around the studio, we loved it so much. Lyrically, it’s tongue-in-cheek, playful yet mature.”

“With You” follows a string of independent releases from Sean, including the singles “Need to Know” and “Cherry Papers.” His last full-length album, Neon, dropped nearly six years ago.
