Hear SZA’s nostalgic new track, “Good Days”

Her second solo single this year.

SZA has shared her latest single “Good Days,” a follow-up to her September single “Hit Different,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign.

On the soothing track, the star tries to look forward to “good days” while grieving a failed relationship. London-based polymath Jacob Collier also makes an appearance, jumping in on the chorus with his trademark layered vocal harmonies. “All the while, I’ll await my armored fate with a smile / I still wanna try, still believe in / Good days, good days, always,” the duo intone on the chorus.

Following the release, SZA shared a grainy music video for dialed-back renditions of “Good Days” and “Hit Different.” In the cozy video, SZA sings both songs while curled up on a bed with her dog, with producer Carter Lang providing minimal accompaniment.

“Good Days” was originally teased at the end of the music video for “Hit Different,” which was also her first solo release since her 2017 record Ctrl. She has taken part in several high-profile collaborations in the interim, including “The Other Side” with Justin Timberlake and Travis Scott’s “Power is Power.”
