Hear Jazmine Sullivan’s first song in five years, “Lost One”

A taste of her forthcoming EP.

Jazmine Sullivan has finally returned with a new single, “Lost One,” five years after releasing her last album, Reality Show.

On the heartbreaking ballad, which features a stripped-back guitar melody by Dave Watson, the crooner sings about a relationship that is beyond repair. “A good one, you know when you lost one / You go out and fuck different people to cope and ignore all precautions,” Sullivan sings soulfully. “Just don’t have too much fun without me / Don’t have too much, don’t have too much fun / Please don’t forget about me / Try not to love no one.”

On Instagram, the Fearless singer confirmed that “Lost One” is a cut from a forthcoming EP. “I know ‘Lost One’ is hella stripped and short. It just felt like the most appropriate offering from the EP considering everything that’s happening these days,” she wrote.
