Hear Alicia Keys’ touching cover of Billie Eilish’s “Ocean Eyes”

Recorded for Spotify’s ‘Singles’ series.

Alicia Keys has unveiled a cover of Billie Eilish’s breakout 2015 song, “Ocean Eyes,” as part of Spotify’s Singles series.

The singer transforms the synth pop song into a characteristically soulful piano ballad, reminiscent of her iconic 2004 hit, “If I Ain’t Got You.” “You really know how to make me cry / When you give me those ocean eyes / I’m scared / I’ve never fallen from quite this high / Fallin’ into your ocean eyes,” she sings.

Released alongside her cover of “Ocean Eyes” was a stripped-back rendition of “Show Me Love,” featuring Miguel. Keys recently dropped a video for her latest single, “Time Machine.” Both “Show Me Love” and “Time Machine” are expected to feature on Keys’ forthcoming album, ALICIA, due out sometime next year.
