Gallant has dropped a sultry video for his latest single, “Sharpest Edges.”
The clip portrays the singer in a toxic relationship, as he tiptoes around his own house trying to avoid his lover. The moment Gallant’s lover leaves, he is finally free to dance around his own home. But she gets the last laugh in an ending you’ll have to see for yourself.
“I had problems with depression for a long time because even though you get to choose your own outlook on life, it’s hard sometimes to ignore the bad shit, the mistakes you made and the things you could have done better,” Gallant said of Sharpest Edges” in a statement. “It’s easier to admit the world is full of sharp edges—and to make a goal to have as many close calls as you can.”
“Sharpest Edges” is the lead single from Gallant’s as-yet-untitled sophomore album, due out later this year. The singer recently collaborated with Mandopop singer Tia Ray on “Trust Myself” and producer Sebastian on “Run for Me.”
