Fousheé links up with Lil Wayne for “Gold Fronts”

The duo hang out in the accompanying visual.

Fousheé has enlisted the one and only Lil Wayne for her new single, “Gold Fronts.”

In the accompanying video treatment, directed by Edgar Esteves, the duo joyfully stumble through a liquor store and hang out with friends in a parking lot. “I got plans and they’re all piled up / And I think this year had a personal vendetta / There’s always 2031,” she sings.

Wayne keeps the optimism going in his verses: “They can’t take my gold fronts / They can’t take these white cups that I just poured up / They can’t take these gold teeth / They can’t take this gold leaf that I just rolled up.”

Speaking with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Fousheé revealed the smooth collaboration started with a DM from Weezy. “I threw out the idea to work and he was with it, and I was so shocked. This is someone that I listen [to],” she said, per Complex.

“I thought it was the most beautiful verse I heard from him in a long time,” Fousheé added. “I thought he really put his heart and soul into that. And it was a different side of him that we haven’t seen in a while.”

Earlier this year, Fousheé also guested on Wayne’s single “Ain’t Got Time,” and appeared on Pink Siifu and Fly Anakin’s new joint EP, $mokebreak. Meanwhile, Wayne recently teamed up with Calboy for “Miseducation.”
