Emotional Oranges are back with ‘The Juicebox’

Their new project features Vince Staples, Biig Piig, Channel Tres and more.

Emotional Oranges have dropped their third project, The Juicebox.

Released today (June 11), the eight-track record features a stacked list of guest appearances. Most prominently, Vince Staples contributes verses to the track “Back & Forth,” a groovy, laid-back ode to troubled relationships.

“Broken records tell you sorry, you know / Heard it before, burdened my soul / Brighten my day, makin’ me whole / Driftin’ away, promised you’d stay,” he rhymes.

Beyond Staples, the album also features the likes of Channel Tres, Becky G, and Yendry. Big Piig appears on the track “Body & Soul,” which Emotional Oranges dropped back in March. Chiiild also features on “Bonafide,” which was first released in January.

“We appreciate you sticking around and hope these songs bring a little bit of joy to your life this summer. The Juicebox is an homage to our influences,” the duo commented about the release in a statement. “We really tried to capture the emotions of our childhood.” In previous statements, they name-dropped Sade and The xx as influences.

Emotional Oranges most recently put out The Juice Vol. 2, which was released in November 2019. It followed six months after their debut EP, The Juice: Vol I.
