Ella Mai’s “Shot Clock,” a cut from her 2018 self-titled debut, has now received the visual treatment.
The clip, directed by Colin Tilley, takes inspiration from the song’s title. It features the R&B upstart rocking various athleisure outfits as she performs the song in a gymnasium, surrounded by basketball players. “Twenty-four seconds, yeah, you better not stop / You got 24 seconds, can you beat the shot clock? / What you waitin’ on li’l daddy? I ain’t got that much time,” Mai croons.
Elsewhere, the singer sits on the bleachers outside her future man’s house, counting down ’til he shoots his shot. Watch the video below:
