Brandy makes her triumphant return with ‘B7’

The singer’s first studio album in nearly a decade.

Brandy has made her long-awaited return with B7, her first studio album in eight years.

The 15-track record was entirely co-written and -produced by Brandy and songwriter Darhyl Camper (known for Tamar Braxton’s “Love and War”), alongside hitmakers such as Victoria Monét, Hit-Boy and more. The album also features collaborations with Chance the Rapper, Daniel Caesar and Sy’rai, as well as the previously released song “Rather Be.”

Alongside the release of B7, Brandy also unveiled an emotional video for album cut “Borderline.” The clip cuts between shots of the singer performing in a nightclub and being forced into a padded room while wearing a straitjacket.

B7 is Brandy’s first full-length since 2012’s Two Eleven. Last year, the singer released the song “Freedom Rings” to mark the 25th anniversary of her eponymous debut album.
