BJ the Chicago Kid drops new ‘4 AM’ EP

Featuring collabs with Lucky Daye and Eric Bellinger.

BJ the Chicago Kid has shared a new EP, 4 AM.

The four-track EP is led by a collab with Lucky Daye called “Make You Feel Good.” The slow jam features sensual production from Bongo ByTheWay and hears the Chicago native and Daye croon about their embattled relationships.

“We’ve been through it, and I just wanna make you feel good / Through all the bullshit, I just wanna make you feel good,” BJ sings. “Out in high water, huh, through it all still got you / Tired of being misunderstood / I just wanna make you feel good.”

4 AM, which dropped today on BJ’s independent record label, MAFE Music, also features a collaboration with Eric Bellinger.

BJ explained the project’s title in a statement: “I am naturally a night owl and for creatives that stay up like me, 4am in the morning is like the magic hour where all your best ideas flow. These songs are without a doubt some of my strongest!”

BJ released his last project, 1123, in 2019. Stream 4 AM here:
