Banks’ third studio album, the simply titled III, has finally arrived.

The 13-track record is a welcome return from the R&B singer, whose sophomore LP, The Altar arrived in 2016. Her new full-length includes previously released singles “Gimme” and “Contaminated.” The album’s sole feature comes courtesy of Francis and the Lights on “Look What You’re Doing to Me.”

“[It’s] about going from being a romantic who’s a bit naive and hopeful to being a wise woman,” Banks told Tidal of the project. “But in between you go through pain and you learn people can lie and you learn those hard lessons that are quite painful.”

“All my music is just really a mirror of what I’m going through, and, of course, I’m going through different things than I was when I wrote my last two albums,” she continued. “I was going through a major growth spurt, just as a woman emotionally, over the last few years. You know, really diving deep to confront certain things. New songs, new subject matter, new everything. But same human.”
