Baby Rose teases debut album with fresh single, “August 5th”

    ‘To Myself’ is out later this month.

    Rising R&B star Baby Rose has announced her debut album, To Myself, with a brand-new single, “August 5th.” 

    Released exclusively on SoundCloud, the song is a birthday gift from the singer to her fans. Featuring a slow and dreamy melody, “August 5th” illustrates Rose’s challenging road to adulthood, from struggling with self-acceptance to her insecurities. “Twenty-one, I’m drowning out from sorrows / Failing college and I’m stuck at a crossroad,” she sings, her deep pipes layered over melancholic strings.

    “The song is really about how no matter how old I am, or wise I get, there will always be bumps in the road and lows I have to overcome. It’s a reminder for me, on my birthday August 5, to embrace the journey,” Rose said in a statement.

    To Myself is due out August 22 via Human Re Sources. Check out her newest song below:
