ZAYN, Timbaland make a seriously cool pairing on “Too Much”

Trust us, you’ll have this on repeat for days.

It’s easy to spot a Timbaland-assisted track. From the production to the ad-libs, the producer’s been behind some of the biggest pop tracks of the past 20 years. So when we heard ZAYN had linked up with the award-winning producer for his latest single, “Too Much,” we knew it was going to be a hit.

Blending old-school R&B with modern pop stylings, “Too Much” is a major vibe. ZAYN’s falsetto cruises across Timbaland’s hip hop beat as he sings about heartbreak and loneliness. “I guess I want too much / I guess I want love and lust,” he croons while the superstar producer provides some extra background vocals.

Just like ZAYN’s earlier singles, this track takes on a different musical direction and proves the singer’s versatility. Just compare the recent release of “Sour Diesel” to “Too Much,” and you’ll realize that the only thing they have in common is the soulful voice bringing them to life.
