ZAYN is heartbroken AF on new song “Fingers”

Still no news on his second album, though.

ZAYN continues to tease his long-awaited sophomore project with a brand-new single, “Fingers.”

Written by Malik, David Phelan and Alex Oriet, “Fingers” is a mid-tempo R&B jam that hears the singer dealing with unrequited love. “I’ve been fucked and I want ya, I can’t even text ya / ’Cause my fingers ain’t broken, but my heart is,” he sings over the Saltwives-produced beat.

Over the past few months, the former One Direction member has been steadily releasing a number of singles—including the Timbaland-assisted “Too Much” and the rock-inflected “Soul Diesel”—in lead-up to his forthcoming sophomore album. No official release date or title has been announced yet.
