Westlife explore young love in “Better Man” MV

The newly reunited boyband drop a tearjerker co-written by Ed Sheeran.

Veteran Irish boyband Westlife have dropped “Better Man,” a new song to further tease their comeback album.

Co-written by Ed Sheeran, Fred Gibson and longtime Westlife songwriter Steve Mac, the song explores the ups and downs of lifelong love, while its accompanying video follows two youths in a budding romance.

This is the newly reunited boyband’s second comeback single, following January’s “Hello My Love.” The Irish group had disbanded in 2011 and made their last appearance together in 2012.

“We’re not trying to change Westlife’s sound, we’re trying to evolve,” the boyband said of their reunion in a statement. “We need to be a Westlife 2.0, a better version of ourselves.”
