Watch the video for Sam Smith’s new song, “Diamonds”

Their third album, ‘Love Goes,’ arrives next month.

Sam Smith has released a video for their new single, “Diamonds.”

The clip, directed by Luke Monaghan, features Smith dancing solo across an empty house, intercut with scenes of the singer standing in the rain as lightning flashes in the background. “You’re never gonna hear my heart break / Never gonna move in dark ways / Baby, you’re so cruel / My diamonds leave with you,” they sing on the chorus.

Alongside the release of “Diamonds,” Smith also announced a new release date for their upcoming third studio album, Love Goes—formerly known as To Die For. The retitled LP is set to arrive on October 30.

“This album marks a time of experimentation and self discovery in my life,” Smith wrote on Twitter. “I wrote this from the age of 26-28 and it’s been one hell of a ride.”

Love Goes will feature the single “My Oasis” featuring Burna Boy. Previously released songs such as the Normani-assisted “Dancing with a Stranger” and “How Do You Sleep?” will be included as bonus tracks.
