Not since 2010’s The Beginning have we heard new music from The Black Eyed Peas, but that dry spell may just be coming to an end. Hopefully ?
The band—sans Fergie—recently reunited for an episode of Landmarks Live in Concert, a series of one-off performances that combine superstars and historical locations.
In the rap/pop group’s case, London’s Royal Albert Hall played the star setting. On that vaunted stage, the trio belted out a set of their greatest hits, including “Let’s Get It Started,” “Pump It,” “I Gotta Feeling,” and “Where is the Love?” You can catch the latter in the video below.
Although “Where is the Love?” premiered some 15 years ago, its message still reverberates across the world today. “[It serves] as socially conscious commentary about the disturbing things going on in the world, as an appeal for peace, understanding and ending racism,” a representative for Will.i.am said.
The full Black Eyed Peas performance will premiere on April 20 on PBS; special guests Eva Simons, Pia Mia and Lydia Lucy also star in it. Previous Landmarks Live in Concert episodes featured Brad Paisley at West Virginia University and Foo Fighters at the Acropolis in Athens, among others.
