Watch the 1975’s dizzying new video for “People”

From their forthcoming album, ‘Notes on a Conditional Form.’

The 1975 are back with a new single titled “People,” and it’s heavier and grungier than anything we’ve heard from the band.

The hard-hitting track was released alongside a chaotic video. In the clip, the band perform in a box that features bright colors, flashing images and lyrics from the song. “People like people / They want alive people / The young surprise people / Stop fucking with the kids,” frontman Matty Healy sings on the chorus.

“People” previews the band’s forthcoming album, Notes on a Conditional Form, the follow-up to last year’s A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships. The 2018 album featured tracks like “Sincerity is Scary” and “Give Yourself a Try.” The 1975’s new record arrives February 21, 2020 via Dirty Hit/Interscope.
