Following last month’s release of “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart,” Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus have begun to perform their joint single live. Last week, a lucky London audience got to hear a special acoustic rendition.
Cyrus had crashed a recent London edition of a Club Heartbreak night that Ronson helms in cities round the world. Though the producer, stationed behind the decks, had the backing track cued up, Cyrus turned the tables by telling the crowd she’d perform it practically a cappella.
Backed by Ronson on acoustic guitar, Cyrus gave a flawless vocal performance to a crowd of adoring fans, many of whom knew the lyrics by heart. She was also, unsurprisingly, really feeling herself that night—when someone in the crowd yelled, “We love you, Miley!” she promptly replied, “That’s right, motherfuckers.”
