Watch London Grammar’s turbulent video for “How Does it Feel”

The group’s third album ‘Californian Soil’ will arrive later this month.

London Grammar have dropped a video for ““How Does it Feel,” the latest single from their upcoming album Californian Soil.

Opening with singer Hannah Reid’s trademark vocals, “How Does it Feel” works its way from the trio’s familiar reverb-heavy indie sound to shimmering electronic pop. Reid also stars in its music video, fighting with her on-screen boyfriend—The Queen’s Gambit star Jacob Fortune-Lloyd—and dwelling on her regrets before everything goes up in flames.

“This song started off as an experiment and ended up being one of my favourites on the record,” Reid said in a statement. “I’ve always loved pop music. Some of my favorite writers and singers are female, many who are younger than me but who are absolutely smashing the pop world with amazing songs… Along with our alternative side, this creates a light and shade on our album that I’ve always wanted to achieve.”

“How Does it Feel” will join preceding singles “Lose Your Head,” “Baby it’s You” and “Californian Soil” on the band’s third album. London Grammar’s previous LP Truth is a Beautiful Thing arrived in 2017.

Californian Soil will be released on April 16 via Ministry of Sound. Watch “How Does it Feel” below:
