Watch Harry Styles run for his life in video for “Golden”

Exploring Italy’s Amalfi Coast the best way—on foot.

Harry Styles has revisited his 2019 sophomore album Fine Line with a video for its opening track, “Golden.”

The fourth visual from the album continues the singer’s island adventures, this time on the Amalfi Coast in southern Italy. Directed by Ben and Gabe Turner, the “Golden” clip follows the British pop star as he dashes through the idyllic coastal town, running through tunnels, down hills and across various rocky terrains.

“You’re so golden / You’re so golden / I’m out of my head / And I know that you’re scared / Because hearts get broken,” Styles sings on the chorus.

In an earlier interview with Zane Lowe, the singer explained that “Golden” was written at Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La studio in Malibu. “We wrote it on day two of being at Shangri-La, and immediately, as soon as we’d done it, it was like, ‘Oh, this is track one,’” Styles said. “I used to drive to the studio, and it’s the perfect PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) song. It’s like driving down the coast is what the song is for. It feels so Malibu to me,” Styles said.

The video for “Golden” follows previous Fine Line visuals for “Watermelon Sugar,” “Falling,” “Adore You” and “Lights Up.” Styles released the album back in December.
