Watch Charli XCX’s explosive video for “White Mercedes”

Featuring—what else?—a shiny white Mercedes-Benz.

Charli XCX has released a video for “White Mercedes,” a cut off her latest album Charli.

The clip was directed by Colin Solal Cardo, who also worked on Charli’s “Gone” music video featuring Christine and the Queens. In the latest visual, the pop star dangles from a suspended white Mercedes-Benz before proceeding to destroy it with fire. Charli also spends the rest of the video with a white horse and riding a white monster truck.

Charli recently explained the idea behind “White Mercedes” to Paper Magazine. The song is about “somebody moving too fast and burning through a relationship and kinda throwing it all away and coming back to it and being this fucking annoying and hectic person,” she said. “Cars are fast and I move fast.”

The video for “White Mercedes” follows other Charli visuals including “2099” with Troye Sivan and the Lizzo-assisted “Blame it on Your Love.”
