Watch Camila Cabello perform on ‘SNL’ for the first time

She channeled classic Madonna.

Camila Cabello made her debut on Saturday Night Live with stellar performances of two songs from her forthcoming album Romance: “Cry for Me” and “Easy.”

Cabello opened her set with a dramatic rendition of “Cry for Me,” performing in a Rococo-style dress, alongside dancers who were wearing powdered wigs and lavish jewelry. They then broke into a synchronized dance routine with handheld fans, reminiscent of Madonna’s iconic performance of “Vogue” at the MTV Awards 1990.

Later in the show, Cabello returned with a touching version of “Easy,” delivering powerful vocals while bathed in purple light. “You know me and you love me / And it’s the kind of thing I always hoped I’d find / Always thought I was hard to love / ’Til you made it seem so easy, seem so easy,” she sang.

Cabello is the latest artist to grace the SNL stage, following Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and the Jonas Brothers. Her Romance LP is expected to arrive later this year. Watch her SNL performances below.
