K-pop juggernaut BTS have made their highly anticipated appearance on Carpool Karaoke, the wildly popular segment of James Corden’s The Late Late Show.
The South Korean superstars and Corden immediately kicked things into high gear with a high-energy sing-along to BTS’ 2017 EDM hit, “Mic Drop.” The group’s leader RM then explained he learned English by watching reruns of the sitcom Friends, which turned into an impromptu performance of the song’s theme song, “I’ll Be There for You” by The Rembrandts.
BTS followed things up with a groovy rendition of Cardi B and Bruno Mars’ chart-topping collab, “Finesse.” They also performed the songs “On”—with an impressive solo from Jungkook—and “Black Swan,” both of which appear on BTS’ latest album, Map of the Soul: 7.
At the end of the clip, Corden brought BTS to a dance studio, where they performed an intense routine to “Black Widow” by Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora. Member Jimin also momentarily took over the lesson to teach everyone the choreography to “On.”
Elsewhere in the episode, the K-pop group also spoke about the celebrities they’ve met, including Madonna, Nas and Post Malone. They also covered Posty’s Billboard Hot 100 hit, “Circles.”
