Watch BENEE hang out with massive “Snail”s in her new video

The music video lands just days out from the singer’s hometown shows.

Kiwi pop singer Benee has shared a playfully surreal music video for her latest single “Snail.”

Between shopping for snail food and drinking a mysterious vial of liquid in a greenhouse, Benee blends the bizarre with lighthearted fun. The shenanigans only escalate when the singer goes on a surreal bicycle ride, dodging mushrooms and lightning strikes, before returning to her house—which is shaped like her own head—to visit her army of massive pet snails.

BENEE called “Snails” “kind of my lockdown song” back in August, when she released the track. “I just played around with the idea of being kind of like a snail and how I come out in the rain.”

The new music video arrives ahead of the singer’s two concerts held in her hometown of Auckland, New Zealand on October 16 and 17. The second show will be available for international viewing via a ticketed live-stream via BENEE’s website.

“Snail” is the second standalone single from BENEE for the year, following her “Lownely” acoustic remix of “Supalonely” and “Night Garden” featuring Kenny Beats and Bakar.
